CTRI Roadmap: Building 10 SSCE Textbooks by 2030

CTRI Roadmap: Building 10 SSCE Textbooks by 2030

CTRI Roadmap Overview

The Collaborative Tutorial Resources Initiative (CTRI) is working toward a clear long-term goal:

To develop 10 high-quality SSCE textbooks by the year 2030.

This roadmap outlines the subjects, progress, and structure of the textbooks currently under development.

Our Current Focus Subjects

CTRI is currently developing textbooks in the following areas:

  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology
  • Agricultural Science

These subjects form the foundation of the initial phase of CTRI’s textbook development.

Development Structure

Each CTRI textbook is built using a structured approach:

  • Clear conceptual progression
  • Step-by-step explanations
  • Self-study-friendly language
  • Continuous revision based on feedback

Each subject is divided into chapters that evolve through versions:

  • Draft (0.1)
  • Review (0.5)
  • Version 1.0 (Published)
  • Updated Editions (1.1, 1.2, etc.)

Physics Example Structure (Sample)

This is an example of how a subject is structured:

  • Introduction to Physics
  • Measurements and Units
  • Motion in One Dimension
  • Forces
  • Energy
  • Heat
  • Waves
  • Electricity

Each chapter will be released progressively as PDFs and updated over time.

Version Philosophy

CTRI uses a living-document approach:

  • Textbooks are not static
  • Chapters improve over time
  • Feedback from students is actively used
  • Updates are tracked transparently

This ensures that learning materials remain relevant and effective.

How We Will Reach 10 Textbooks

CTRI will scale gradually:

Phase 1

  • Core science subjects (current focus)
  • Establish structure and feedback system

Phase 2

  • Expansion to additional SSCE subjects
  • Contributor network growth

Phase 3

  • Full textbook completion (10 subjects total)
  • Refinement and nationwide accessibility

Get Involved

We are actively looking for:

  • Educators
  • Students
  • Volunteers
  • Designers
  • Reviewers
